The "gypsy trip" · fly into Tuzla, out of Belgrade, both Wizz from Basel. No coast, train-forward, no repeated legs. Mostar is an overnight on the scenic Neretva train; the Drina bridge and Šargan Eight sit right on the way east. Depart 22 Jun → back 8 Jul (stretch with the gold stops). Gold = optional.

Shape: Tuzla in (northeast), Belgrade out (east) — a clean west-to-east sweep on Wizz from Basel, nothing repeated except the Mostar overnight spur you asked for.

Mostar: now an overnight, not a day trip. Scenic Talgo down the Neretva gorge from Sarajevo (~2h), sleep on the river, train back up. Bags can stay in Sarajevo or come with you.

Nice stops on the way (you asked): Višegrad's Drina bridge (UNESCO, the Andrić novel) and the Šargan Eight heritage railway at Mokra Gora both sit on the Sarajevo→Belgrade line, so they cost no detour. Zlatibor (mountain resort) is right there too if you want a night.

Filling 22 Jun–8 Jul (~16 days): the core is ~12 days. Add the gold nodes — Niš at the end, Zlatibor, an extra Belgrade/Sarajevo night — to comfortably reach 16, or fly back earlier.
